Broccoli has as much calcium per ounce as milk. Broccoli is a good source of vitamin A, iron, calcium, and fiber. It has been around for more than 2,000 years.
Look for broccoli with dark green florets that are tightly closed. The stalks should be firm and thin. Avoid heads with yellowing.
Broccoli can be stored in perforated plastic bags in the refrigerator for up to one week.
