T-A FAMILY PREMIUM MEATS
Tina and Amos Troester
T-A Family Premium Meats, located in Garnavillo, was established Tina and Amos Troester in 2021. The company processes, markets and sells retail cuts of meat from beef produced by the Troester’s T-A Cattle Company, which has an 85-head cow herd and pasture-raised chickens.
T-A Family Premium Meats’ Choose Iowa grant project will build a retail store to showcase Iowa meats, cheese, honey, maple syrup, cider, sauces, spices and other specialty foods. The Troesters plan to remodel an apartment in Marquette, a quaint town located on the Mississippi River, into a storefront. They will collaborate with local producers to offer a wide variety of Iowa food products in the store.
The Troesters expect an increase in customers, sales and net profits due to the new store front, increased offerings and tourist traffic in Marquette. This project will support T-A Family Premium Meats’ goal to provide quality products and convenience – with a story – to their consumers.
