The North Iowa Local Food Trail is a self-guided, back roads, shop-hop through Rural Northern Iowa. The trail features on-farm stores and local food shops offering the highest quality farm-raised meats, freshest produce and best hand baked goods the area has to offer. This first annual event will take place August 31st. Guaranteed shopping hours for each trail location are from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. To participate, print the official trail map OR visit any of the local stops listed as part of the trail to pickup a printed copy. On the day of August 31st, visit at least 5 of the 8 stores on the map between 9AM and 3PM and have it signed at each location. Drop your map at your last stop of the day with your contact information written on the back to be entered to win a grand prize of all-local foods and handmade goods.
