Autumn Garden Party

Celebrate the change of seasons with a us!  You're invited to our 3rd Annual Autumn Garden Party on Saturday, September 28th from 1-4pm.  Bring a lawn chair or blanket and take some time to relax next to the beautiful Cottage Garden while listening to local live music from the talented duo Ducharme-Jones.  Bottled water will be available purchase, and Hotsy Totsy food truck will be onsite with the most delicious loaded tots you'll find west of the Mississippi.  Feel free to bring your own wine or other favorite beverage to enjoy at the party.  Plan to stay awhile, and enjoy the music and beautiful flower gardens before the season is over.  

Immerse yourself in our colorful, bountiful flower fields for a relaxing u-cut experience (purchase a pint jar and fill it up with blooms to create your own bouquet to take home).  We will also have buckets available for purchase if you'd like to fill up a bucket with dahlias to take home.

Makers Mini-Market!  Local artisans will be set up on the lawn with a variety of locally made products and treasures.  Let's support local!  

Jim and Lori will be mingling with garden party guests and would love to answer questions about life on the flower farm. The entire front section of our flower farm will be open and we encourage you to walk through the 22-raised bed Cottage Garden, dahlia field with 1,500 dahlias, our brand new daylily field featuring our favorite collector's varieties, the cut flower field, and herb garden.  Guests will also be able to enjoy the new Willow Cottage & Garden, a beautiful custom-made cottage with a beautiful show garden, including a fountain and 16-foot flower tunnel. Feel free to take gorgeous pictures of the flower farm, and enjoy the peaceful tranquility of the rural Iowa countryside.  Say hi to the chickens, especially the wild girl named Gary!
