Choose Iowa Presents: Perfect Pairings with Artisanal Honey and Specialty Cheeses

Enjoy perfect pairings of local artisanal honeys and specialty cheeses all handpicked from Iowa. Presented by Choose Iowa featuring Katie Flinn of Milk & Honey Orchard and Apiary, Iowa's first and only Honey Sommelier – trained in Italy. Featuring honeys from Spring Valley Honey (commercial honey producer), Phelps Farm (hobby honey producer), Milk & Honey Orchard & Apiary honey paired with local specialty dairy including Country View Dairy’s Greek style aronia blackberry yogurt, Tipo Spressa goat cheese from Simple Life and The Brooks Place Aged Alpine cheese from Hinterland Dairy. These presentations are included with Iowa State Fair admission. During the Iowa State Fair, you can join Choose Iowa in The Kitchen at 1 p.m. every day for a presentation featuring Iowa producers and chefs sharing on a variety of topics. The Kitchen can be found between the DNR Building and the Barksdale’s Cookie Stand on Grand Avenue.
