Over the Moon Farm & Flowers is owned and operated by Anna and Shae Pesek. They started their diversified farm near Coggon in 2019 and produce chicken, turkey, pork, beef, duck, lamb and cut flowers, which they sell directly to consumers. The Peseks pride themselves on purchasing all their feed and chicks from other Iowa producers and working with Iowa businesses and vendors when possible. The Peseks serve their community well and are involved in many things to help expand their knowledge of farming and their products.
Over the Moon Farm and Flowers’ Choose Iowa grant project will increase production and distribution, allowing the farm to meet the high and growing demand for its high-quality, Iowa-raised Pekin duck. The achieve this goal, the farm will establish and increase storage and distribution space. Over the Moon will construct a large Morton building to house the freezer warehouse, a food safe space for packing orders, and warehouse space for wholesale packaging and marketing supplies.
Over the Moon expects to increase sales and profits. Additionally, the farm will expand its market and customer base by supplying more grocery stores and consumers with its produce. The Peseks have a strong passion for agriculture, the land, their livestock and their community. This project will allow the Peseks to continue to share this passion with their community and produce high quality Iowa agricultural products for many years to come.
